In principle, yes. There are restrictions, however: Calls to either one (but only one!) of the two communication libs can be done within a complete epoch. A complete epoch starts (and ends) with a full synchronization of the application’s processes/threads, such that there is no overlap of GASPI communication and MPI communication.
